I've been getting increasingly fascinated with the world of web series for quite a while now. It feels that this area is the centre of such a huge amount of creative energy at the moment that it wouldn't make any sense to ignore it. On this blog I have written a few posts highlighting some of my favourite series, but recently I haven't felt that greenhughes.com was the right vehicle to explore this world in. There are many reasons for this.

If you have visited this site before you might have noticed that things are looking a little bit different around here. There is a new look and also the software that the site runs on has been upgraded. Since the site started it has run on an installation of Drupal 5, which is of course part of history now and no longer supported. It was great to get three and a half years service out of that version of Drupal but the time had come to move on and upgrade to Drupal 7 in order that the site will have the features it needs going forward. Upgrading was an interesting experience though and maybe a little time consuming!
This website used to have a facility to aggregate all of my activity across various Web 2.0 sites. A page was created for each tweet, each tracked logged on last.fm and each delicious bookmark. In the end this facility was swicthed off as I felt it wasn't really adding anything useful to the site. However out of the thousands of pages that got created in this way a few attracted comments, and they are archived here.
