How to install OpenOffice extensions on (K)ubuntu 7.10

So you've had a look at http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/ are found a great extension for OpenOffice that you would like to try. Only problem is that in the version of OpenOffice that we use there is no sign of the "Extensions" entry in the tools menu that is mentioned in the installation instructions! Luckily there are at least two ways round this problem.

For both methods you will need to download the extension file to somewhere on your home directory. Then the first method is to use the Package Manager which is under the Tools Menu, make sure "My Packages" is selected, then click on the "Add" button on the right hand side and find the file you dowloaded. The extension will then be installed.

The second method is to install from the command line using the command:

sudo /usr/lib/openoffice/program/unopkg add [filename].oxt

Substitute [filename] with the name of your extension.
