An award winner!

Share photos on twitter with TwitpicLast night I attended the 3MobileBuzz New Year Meet Up in London. It was a great evening and was a chance to mix with people from 3 UK, 3MobileBuzz and also other bloggers and individuals interested in the mobile industry. The big surprise of the evening for me  was being awarded the 3mbcreative prize! I did not expect to receive the prize and was really happy just to be nominated. Thank you to everybody on Twitter who voted for me. The picture on the right shows me trying to do an acceptance speech.

The award was for last year's review of the 3 MiFi and my little road trip with it. I also made a little video explaining what I was doing (below). The prize was a MiFi! It was good fun to be one of the first people in the UK to try out the MiFi and also to have a bit of an experiment with the idea of streaming entertainment from the Internet to the car.

The evening was really interesting. It was good to see some senior people form 3 UK who were very interested in the opinions and experiences of those who attended the event. These sorts of events are also really good for exchanging thoughts with other bloggers, IT folk and people generally interested in mobiles to get their perspectives. It was also fun to catch up with some familiar faces and meet some new people.

Thanks to 3MobileBuzz, 3UK and everybody who attended the event for a great evening!
